Birthday Dinner

Our happy little family :)

We took a drive to Orderville on Sunday to have a birthday dinner with mine and Owen's families. It is actually really nice that both our families live close together because we get to spend so much time as one big happy family. Really, it is a blessing in our lives because we don't have to argue about where we are going to spend our time--we can do both.
Highlights....
1. Jill made my cake from scratch because I am a bit bratty and won't eat cake out of a box--my mom and grandma ruined me.
2. My mom of course threw my favorite food in there--Mashed Potatoes and cabbage salad.
3. Owen got me the Twilight series...I am so excited about it! I am already half way done with the third one. --Thanks also to my parents, brothers, and Owen's parents for their gifts... decor galore! I am stoked about this too.
4. We ended up talking outside and pulling weeds??? While finding the remains of Tyler and his friends the night before???

There is nothing like spending quality time with family...

Owen started school this week and it doesn't seem like it is going to be too bad of a semester for him. He actually feels a little bit better about things because we were able to change around a few things in his schooling and he will be able to get done 1 year sooner. I started at the preschool as well this week and I am really enjoying it! It is a learning experience for sure but I good one indeed. It is amazing how much you can learn from little children! Many of the children I work with have special needs. Things like speech, physical and/or behavior, but is really amazing seeing how strong some of these kids are.

Happy Birthday! Sounds like you had a good one. That snake picture was a little frightening I must say! So I just got Twilight to read. I decided to see what all the fuss was about! Haven't started yet, but I'm going to soon. I didn't realize how big they are! Geez! Anyways, happy birthday again!

Happy Birthday! How many years young are you now? You are going to have to tell the story of the snake picture I was enthralled with it. I wish you and Owie could come up and see us again but with your schedules and school I know it is impossible now. I wish we could have been down there for the celebration. This is why it sucks being so far away from the rest of you.

Sounds like my kind of birthday celebration - great food, (especially the desert) and being with the people you love.

Happy Birthday!!
